Rough Cut Development Corp. is a non-profit organization established in Ironton, Missouri, founded by Mitchel Hale- father, husband, entrepreneur- to strengthen rural communities through development, construction, and partnerships with local businesses.
About Us
Rough Cut Development Corp enhances Iron County, Missouri, by developing youth resources, supporting local entrepreneurs, and building community infrastructure in a rural area with limited funding. We work to create opportunities, expand resources, and foster collaboration among residents and business owners.
Founder
Mitchel Hale leads the organization with a vision rooted in family, community, and rural development.
Our Proposed Projects
Rough Cut Development Corp. focuses on empowering rural Missouri through community development, construction projects, and fostering partnerships with local businesses. Through community engagement and thorough review, the following projects will be implemented. Collaboration and frequent progress will be reported to ensure transparency, further ensuring rural resources and opportunities flourish, while remaining community focused.
Childcare Development Center: A purpose-built facility expanding youth resources and supporting working families.
Community Recreation Center: A multi-use space for youth programs, fitness, community gatherings, and recreation.
Community Enhancement Initiatives: Projects that improve infrastructure, support local entrepreneurs, and strengthen rural resilience.

Construction Progress
Phase 1: Community Needs Assessment & Planning (Current Phase of Progress as of June 2026)
Identifying local priorities, gathering input from families and businesses, and outlining the foundational requirements for youth facilities, recreation spaces, and community resources.
Phase 2: Funding & Grant Acquisition (Current Phase of Progress as of June 2026).
Securing financial support through grants, donations, and partnerships to ensure long‑term sustainability for each development project.
Phase 3: Construction & Development
Building the childcare center, recreation center, and community enhancement projects using a phased, strategic approach that supports rural growth.
Phase 4: Launch of Youth and Community Programs
Opening completed facilities, activating programs, and providing ongoing support for families, youth, and local entrepreneurs.
Current Construction Status Rough Cut Development Corp is actively preparing development plans and securing funding to move into the construction phase.
